Exchanging what we may prefer to do
and who we might like to become
for the greater riches of
knowing and living for Jesus

Reflecting...
True life with Jesus -- a life that honors and chooses to follow Him -- often means exchanging what we may be seeking at the moment for a better "calling from above" for that same moment.
In fact, I would say that in following Jesus we find ourselves exchanging the old for the new on a regular basis.
By clinging to Jesus and dedicating ourselves to following Him, we exchange selfishness for giving, prayerlessness for becoming more "prayer aware," winning at all costs for winning at what matters most, and a host of other trades in life.
The point? We live our lives of faith by striving to continually operate on a faith trade agreement. We voluntarily agree to "trade up" for a higher life in Jesus.
We love, serve, obey and keep moving forward...
Under His direction,
By His power,
And for His honor.

"Lord, I ask you to be my strength to 'trade up' to the life you desire for me to live this day. Empower me, strengthen me to say 'Yes!' instead of 'No, not now' to you, and work it all out for your honor. In Your Name I pray, Amen!"
